My last stop was in Papillion, NE. It was great visiting with Kathy and Paul Brawley and their two sons Nathan and Taylor.

Enjoyed chicken tortellini pasta, salad, cheese bread and wine for dinner last night. Whiskey night cap was tasty too!

Thanks Kathy for pointing out that I have to hold my phone further from my eyes to read! I thought I had perfect vision! Guess I will need glasses soon!

Stopped by to check out the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota. They were getting ready for a festival or tearing down from one…streets were still closed down.

The pictures that were hanging in the auditorium were all made from ears of corn…very interesting!

My last night to camp out on my trip and I got to wake up to a beautiful sunrise! The badlands were well worth the visit.

AMAZING!

The badlands at sunset is great! So many beautiful colors! And their were goats everywhere.

It has to be one of the greatest spots that I have seen the sun set.

Wall Drug (Wall, South Dakota)…saw it done it! Glad to say I got to see a piece of history! It was lots of little shops. 5 cent coffee and free water…wow!

I wanted to see a bear this entire trip. Guess what I got see one…stuffed and behind glass! I will take it…lol!

Enjoyed the scenery…driving through Black Hills Forest! Awesome rock formations!

Biggest let down of my trip – Crazy Horse! Stop the propaganda and get the monument done! 60 years and probably 60 more to go! Been there, done it…won’t do it again unless it is completely done …a fee to see what?!?! I don’t care about dancing on the patio at 3 p.m.

Mother said that I should skip it!

I got to see Mount Rushmore from many angles!

I did it! South Dakota is my 48th state. Today I will hit Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Tomorrow I head to the Badlands and Wall Drug.

Tonight for dinner I had a buffalo burger (dedication to all the buffalo I saw today) and Sioux City Sarsaparilla. It was “oh so good!”
